How we approach hair & scalp
Everyone sheds hair daily. What matters clinically is whether shedding has increased, whether density has reduced, and whether the pattern points to a specific diagnosis. Those are questions an examination answers and an online quiz does not.
Some causes are reversible — iron deficiency, thyroid disease, post-illness or post-partum shedding, crash dieting. Some are progressive, such as androgenetic hair loss, where the aim is to slow the process and thicken what remains. The plan differs completely depending on which one you have.
In-clinic procedures such as PRP and GFC support medical treatment; they are not a substitute for it. Patients who are told the truth about this at the start get better long-term results than those sold a fixed number of sessions.
What the first consultation involves
Your scalp and hair pattern are examined, your history and any recent illness, medication or dietary change are reviewed, and blood tests are advised where they will change the treatment.
