Understanding hollywood facial
A carbon lotion is applied and allowed to settle into the pores. Laser pulses are then absorbed by the carbon, vaporising it along with surface debris and oil, while delivering mild thermal stimulation to the skin.
The result is a same-day improvement in oiliness, pore appearance and brightness, which is why it is popular before events. It is gentle enough to have no meaningful downtime.
It is still a laser procedure. Recent tanning, active infection or certain medications may mean postponing, which is checked before each session.
This may suit you if
- Oily skin with enlarged, congested pores
- Dullness and uneven tone
- Pre-event brightening with a few days' margin
- Patients wanting a laser facial without downtime
